Here's an update

Sunday following we held a follow up All-age Worship event. Loads from the church away on hols, but very worthwhile. Did lots of the things we had done in holiday club, just one extra family came - but that's great. Kept the church decorated as the jungle. Those who organised it can't wait to do another next year.
Benefits - Lots of chidren (and adults) heard the gospel; Leaders stepped out of comfort zones and took on new roles; a great feeling of working together as a team.

Hi Andy

Thanks for calling in - it's an encouragement to all the helpers. All finished now, 4 mornings of mayhem and madness, but more importantly telling children about the love of Jesus! I'll even wear a grass skirt to do that! Lots of helpers (younger ones too), around 30 children every day (over 40 different ones in total).
Challenges, games, quizzes, the minister racing against his wife in the jungle game, Bible stories, and all in the church decorated as a jungle. Lots of the children want us to carry on - one suggested that we do it all summer! All-age Service on Sunday in the jungle - families from 'Jungle Jamboree' invited - we need your prayers! And a note to Andy - the helpers say 'thanks for the ice-creams!'
