Chip Butties, The Anglican Church and Large Screen Football.
It was great!
12 - 1pm Football on the Ponderosa (Local Park) - loads of kids
1pm - 2pm Free chip putties served in the local Anglican Church
2pm onwards The 1st England Match Live on their large sceen in the church
The front of the church was draped in St Georges flags
3 large DJEMBE drums where past between kids and adults , to encourage the chanting
and banged loudly throughout the matchWhat an ace time, loads of kids and families, noise.
Pitty such a boring game! But it was a result 3 points in the bag!
But before all this our Girls Brigade, held a prayer meeting for children.
Three tables had three topics to discuss and pray for.
Each table had a large peice of paper for kids to draw on and adults to write prayer points. After discussing the issues we then prayed at the table, "kids as well!"
